Humboldt County Fair 2009

Every year I look forward to going to the county fair and now that I have Landen I look forward to every year seeing the change from last year such as the rides he goes on and how he reacts. Last year he went on the cars and train. This year he went on the train but half way through tried to get off because it was "too slow" for him and he said he wanted to go fast. So he rode the cars again and moved up to the airplanes:) We took Connor and Lucas with us and I enjoyed every minute of it!!!!!! I love being with those three boys together because it is actually easier with Landen when he had a play mate and Connor and Lucas are great boys they aren't even a problem:) We also went to the horse races for a couple hours where the boys too a nap while I got to watch a couple races.

Salyer aka Heaven

I just realized I never posted pictures from our Salyer trip. It was amazing! It was very relaxing and fun. We went with another family which are kind of new family friends and we sure had a great time with them...Lots of laughs and relaxation! Landen also started jumping off the diving board when we were there and swam pretty good with a life jacket on!
Thank you so much for the McCullough family for allowing us to have the opportunity to stay there! You guys have made it so comfortable and beautiful now if I just had the money to buy it:)

Backhoe Rodeo

My last cousin, Bret, graduated from High School last month!! We were so excited!

So we held a 1st annual Backhoe rodeo last weekend at my father-in-law's place and where I work. It was a ton of fun! We had lots of fun watching the guys maneuver through obstacles and have a good time! They had to cross ditch, pick up volleyballs off a cone and set them in garbage cans, and pick up a raw egg with a spoon that was attached to their backhoe and place it in a bowl without breaking it... Thanks to everyone who helped! ...and the weather was awesome!
My July is very busy, but I bet most people's july is busy too!
This week we are having a BBQ for my birthday, then it's Relay for Life sat and sunday, which means I will not be getting much sleep saturday night. I am going to walk from 4p-5p on sat and 1a-2a sun morning:) I'm excited though, it should be fun!
They the following weekend we get to go to Salyer for Thursday thru Sunday and I can't wait for that because that is where I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO RELAX and Landen really enjoys it there too!
Then after that, the next weekend we (britni, me and megan) are going to see Jason Aldean in Medford and have a girls weekend
Then off to Redding for a end of the year Mary Kay party!
So that is my july and I know it will be great:) Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as I am!

A week's review

Happy Father's day to all the amazing Daddy's out there. Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We did. I love spending time with all the family and never want to leave them all at the end of the day. Landen has lots of fun with his cousins and it's awesome to watch them interact.
So I was doing the dishes while I let Landen finger paint. Sometimes I forget he is 2 1/2 now and he can do things that he couldn't do before...I left the finger paints in reach and this is what he ended up looking like...

So I stuck him in the sink while I finished doing the dishes:) Now he thinks he needs to take a bath in the sink every night...

These are from Saturday. We went to the beach for the first time...He LOVED the sand. I didn't think he would like the feeling of it since he doesn't like different textures (he wont wear shirts if they aren't soft enough) but he loved it and talked me into walking him to the ocean which made me really nervous but he listened very well. He also liked to jump off the sand dunes...we had a great time and I hope we have lots more sunny days in which we can go hang out there and have picnics:)

Sunny Redding

This past weekend Landen and I went over with Janelle, Mikey, Casey and Natalie to Redding. Rachelle flew in on Saturday and got to hang out with us too:) The boys went on to Sacramento and went riding and to the races and us girls with our 4 boys (and another boy on the way) stayed in Redding and went to the water slides and hung out at the motel pool. We went to the water slides when they openedbut by the time it was 1, i believe, Landen was done. I tried to get him to fall asleep in the stroller or the chair and he just couldn't, so we went back to the motel and the boys took 2 hour naps and of course so did I:) Then we went to the pool and I will never stay at another hotel in Redding because the Red Lion has a 2-foot kids pool! I thought it was the coolest thing ever invented!!:) LOL I think I liked it better than Landen.

This trip was a great experience for Landen. He is so used to being only with me, his dad, my mom, sis or Wes so he gets nervous around other people. I thought he would be glued to me and nervous the whole time being on a trip with other families...but he did GREAT! By the time we got over there he was even warmed up to the guys...he ran around like it was nothing! Yay...I think he's growing up:) I was proud of him. I know the reason he did so good too was because we were with some AWESOME people. Janelle and her family are great people and I am so thankful to be able to spend as much time with them as I do. Janelle...thank you for being such a great friend and so good to Landen. Your boys are great and Landen sure loves you guys:) And Natalie and her family is just as great. I'm so happy to have met you Nat. Landen just loves all the boys and we have lots of fun with the Jones's:)

Now let me just say how much I LOVE Redding!!! Now I know why as a kid I always wanted to live there...because there is so much to do and it's SO nice!!
Here's some pictures I stole from Nat since I forgot my camera...I'm mostly good a that too...

Memorial Weekend

First of all...the week before Memorial we found Landen a four wheeler. We were thinking he either needed a power-wheels(which are $500) or just spend $500 more and get a small four wheeler that will last many years...so we found him a 50. It's used so we were able to get a good deal and Landen loves it! He wakes up wanting to ride it and then has to ride it before bed:) He listens very well, so when I tell him to slow down and let off the throttle he does immediately, so hopefully that good listening will last!!
This is his first ride!

So Nick was working the second day we had it, so I thought "it's such a small bike, I can get it in my car" Somehow I managed:) So here is on our way...he SOOO excited!!!

And After on our way home...he's SOOOO pooped:)

His fourwheeler is next to him at all times

Here is our camping trip Memorial Weekend. We went with my mom and Wes and had a great time just hanging out and enjoying the sun. Landen keeps saying to me "more camp, more camp" its funny how much he LOVES it!
